A speech by ob体育 Commissioner John Price, delivered at the Insolvency Practitioners Association of Australia (IPA) NSW Conference, 16 October 2013
Introduction
Thank you for inviting me to speak today.
As you know, the Insolvency Practitioners Association of Australia (IPA) represents a key stakeholder group for ob体育.
We work closely together to bring guidance and education to registered liquidators and do our best to ensure that the industry sets and maintains high standards.
We鈥檝e made significant progress in recent years, and while there is much to be done, I know the IPA will continue to work with ob体育 to improve standards and deliver better outcomes for all parties involved in external administrations.
Ladies and gentlemen, today I want to revisit some issues raised by ob体育鈥檚 Chairman, Greg Medcraft, at the IPA鈥檚 national conference in May this year and update you on recent ob体育 activity. I will also give my thoughts on 鈥榳hat matters鈥� to ob体育, the profession and the wider insolvency market. I would like to leave a little time at the end for questions.
