Accountability and reporting
ob体育 is聽accountable to the Australian Parliament in the following ways:
ob体育's Annual Report聽is聽tabled in聽Parliament. This includes an Annual Performance Statement under the PGPA Act, additional compliance reporting, audited financial statements and information on ob体育 priorities and activities.
As required by Parliament, ob体育 annually updates and publishes on its website a聽Corporate Plan聽setting out information on ob体育鈥檚 key strategies and activities over a rolling four-year period.
ob体育 Commission members and senior executives appear before Senate and House of Representatives Parliamentary Committees several times each year, and ad hoc Parliamentary Committees and Inquiries, to discuss and explain ob体育鈥檚 activities.
ob体育聽reports annually against the Australian Government鈥檚聽Regulator Performance Framework, which assesses the impact of regulation on business, the community and individuals.
ob体育 is subject to, and complies with, the聽Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act聽(PGPA Act) and the best practice regulation process administered by the Office of Best Practice Regulation.
In compliance with the Legal Services Directions 2017, we issue an annual statement of legal services expenditure by ob体育.
Periodically, the Government sets out its expectations as to how ob体育 fulfils its role and responsibilities in a Statement of Expectations, to which ob体育 responds with a Statement of Intent.
