This user guide provides the steps required to register a relevant provider with ob体育.
Get started
- To get started, visit the ob体育 website at聽.
- Click on the blue ob体育 Connect box. This will take you to ob体育 Connect.
Log in
- If you have an ob体育 Connect account, select 鈥�Log in鈥�.听
- Log in using your email address and password.聽
- If you do not have an ob体育 Connect account, select 鈥�Sign up鈥�.

Home
Once you have logged in, the home screen will be visible.聽
- Select 鈥�Lodgements & Notifications鈥� to register a relevant provider.聽
- Select the radio button next to the relevant provider you want to register.聽
- In the transactions column, select聽Registration of relevant providers. This is the name of the transaction you use to register a relevant provider (including time-share advisers).聽
- Select 鈥�Go鈥� to proceed.聽
You can apply to register a relevant provider who is also an AFS licensee and/or a relevant provider who is not an AFS licensee using this form.
You can only apply to register a relevant provider (including a time-share adviser) after you have appointed the relevant provider to the Financial Advisers Register.
Ensure that you have the key information required to progress with the registration application.
- Select 鈥�Next鈥� to continue.聽
You need to provide the representative number of the relevant provider you are applying to register.
- Enter the representative number of the relevant provider you are applying to register into the box.
If you are not sure of their number, select the link 鈥�Search Financial Advisers Register鈥� to search the Financial Advisers Register for the number.
- Select 鈥�Next鈥� to continue.
Contact details
Address
- Enter the principal place of business for the financial adviser you are applying to register.
- Select the 鈥�Edit鈥� button to add or amend the principal place of business.
Email
- Enter the email address for the relevant provider you are applying to register.
- Select the 鈥�Edit鈥� button to add the email address.
This email address will be used to send ob体育 notices and correspondence only. It will not be available to the public.
Phone number
- Enter the phone for the relevant provider you are applying to register.
- Select the 鈥�Edit鈥� button to add or amend the phone number.
- Select 鈥�Next鈥� to continue.
Declarations
You must provide certain declarations for each relevant provider you are applying to register.
- Select the radio button next to the declaration you want to make.
- Select 鈥�Next鈥� to continue.
For additional information or guidance on the declarations required by the AFS licensee or the relevant provider, see Information Sheet 277 Registration of relevant providers: Guidance on making declarations (INFO 277).
Review
Check that the information you have entered is correct.聽
- Select 鈥�+Another鈥� to add more relevant provider. You can apply to register up to 25 relevant provider per transaction.聽
- Select 鈥�Edit/Review鈥� if incorrect information has been entered for a relevant provider.聽
- Select 鈥�Remove鈥� to remove relevant provider.聽
- When all relevant provider have been added correctly, select 鈥�Next鈥� to continue.聽
Declarations
Read the declaration to ensure that you agree with the conditions of the transaction.聽
- If you agree, tick the boxes next to the declaration to proceed.聽
- Select your authority for submitting the transaction.聽
- Select 鈥�Next鈥� to continue.聽
Payment
You can pay immediately using a credit card, or at a later date using BPAY or by requesting an invoice to be sent to you.聽
To pay by credit card:
- Select the 鈥�Pay Now鈥� option.聽
- Select 鈥�Pay Now鈥� to continue.聽
- Enter your credit card details.聽
- Select 鈥�Submit鈥� to process the payment.聽
To pay by BPAY or by requesting an invoice.聽
- Select the 鈥�Pay Later鈥� option.聽
- Select the 鈥�Invoice鈥� or 鈥�BPAY鈥� option.
If you select 鈥�Invoice鈥� it will be sent to the email address of the AFS licensee, if one has been provided. Otherwise, it will be sent to the registered office.聽
If you select 鈥�BPAY鈥� you will need to print or make note of the BPAY details and process your payment.聽
Confirmation
This screen confirms your transaction has been submitted.聽
- Select 鈥�Print the transaction鈥� to download a printable PDF version of the transaction.聽
- Select one of the links under聽What else can I do for more information about other services.聽
- Select 鈥�Home鈥� to return to the ob体育 Connect home page.聽
Notice of registration
As soon as practicable after the registration of the relevant provider is recorded on the Financial Advisers Register, ob体育 will give a written notice of the registration to the relevant provider and the registering AFS licensee. ob体育 will send the notice of the registration by email.
Notice of refusal
If an application for registration is refused, ob体育 will, within five business days of the decision to refuse the application, give a written notice of the refusal to the relevant provider and, if applicable, to the registering AFS licensee, and specify the grounds for the refusal. ob体育 will send the written notice of refusal by email.
