What details can I get from a Documents search?
Information we provide free of charge includes:
- date the document was lodged
- unique document identification number
- document type
- number of pages in the document.
You can also purchase a copy or a certified copy of a publicly available document.
What is a certified document?
A certified document is a document from our registers that we have certified as a true copy. Certified documents can be accepted聽as evidence in court. The certification must have an original ob体育 stamp and signature.
Certified documents can be purchased online, but are sent by mail to the nominated address.
What documents can be certified by ob体育?
We can certify publicly available documents that have been lodged with us.
What documents cannot be certified by ob体育?
We cannot certify:
- copies of certificates of registration of corporation(s)
- extracts from ob体育's registers, as this information is extracted from our records
- documents relating to insurance brokers or foreign insurance agents dated before Australian Financial Services licenses聽
You have the option of purchasing a certified or uncertified copy.
What certificates are available for an online search?
The only certificate available from an online search is a copy of a registration certificate.
Can I get multiple copies of documents?
You can buy more than one copy of a certified document,聽but you will be charged聽for each copy you buy. For example, two copies of a certificate of registration will incur two fees.
